About Gifts & Gambles
Gifts & Gambles was born during the holiday season of 2019. That Christmas, I found myself worried that I hadn’t bought enough gifts for my family. All I had left to give were money and gift cards, but simply handing over envelopes didn’t feel special. I wanted to make it fun and memorable, so I created a game. Back then, it had a different name, but yes, I typed up directions and everything! (Yes, I know—extra! My family told me so!)
That first year, the game was simple: every envelope on the tree held a prize—money or a gift card—so there were no losses, no Dud Cards. Over the years, the game evolved, introducing new twists and turns, including the infamous Dud Cards that add an extra layer of suspense. With every change, my family’s excitement grew, and so did the fun. After playing this past Christmas, my family encouraged me to share it with the world. And here we are!

Creator of Gifts & Gambles
Although Gifts & Gambles began as a Christmas tradition, its versatility makes it perfect for any occasion where gifts or rewards are involved. Think beyond the Christmas Holidays! Use it for Easter (imagine envelopes instead of eggs), Women’s History Month (celebrate the women in your life), Teacher Appreciation Week (educators deserve a little fun), or any other moment when you want to spread joy and create lasting memories.
New editions are in the works, but for now, this version is ready to bring laughter, excitement, and connection to your next event. Whether you’re celebrating with family, friends, or colleagues, Gifts & Gambles is here to make your moments unforgettable.
